Do everything without complaining or arguing. Philippians 2:14
I can easily make a complaint about this scripture that’s for sure. No matter how hard I try something will cause me to forget about this advice. For instance the weather going from freezing to 50 then back to zero all in one week, the flu is all around us, our monthly budget is off because of some crazy new tax laws including higher insurance premiums, my car/dryer/stove all broke within a week that ended with a bad fall on my kitchen tile. But today I went outside and took notice to my undecorated cross from Christmas time along with a wreath I had thrown on the side of the garage and realized I really should have nothing to complain about. So I took the wreath and hung it around the cross as a reminder of how much complaining the Lord could do about me but he continues to love me unconditionally. We all face what I call strength training and at the time it may be painful or inconvenient but there is always gain in the end. So my friends let’s try to listen to what the scripture above is telling us to do. Today, Puxatony Phil predicted an early spring which brings warmth to what is going to be a cold and snowing day. This too will end and it won’t be long before I am decorating my cross again for Resurrection Day and new beginnings are here.
